Appellation Guide: Tarquinia DOC (Lazio, Italy)
Tarquinia DOC, named after the small town of Tarquinia is a little known appellation in Lazio. It produces white wine from Malvasia and Trebbiano.
The vineyards are spread out through the surrounding countryside around Montalto di Castro and Tarquinia, continuing south along the coast towards Civitavecchia and Fiumicino, as well as up into the Cimini and Tolfa mountains.
