Morgenhof are large but quality focused producer situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain the heart of Stellenbosch.
The estate's history can be traced back to 1692 and since has changed hands several times. Significantly though, in 1993 the Cointreau family purchased the property and set about rebuilding and modernising the facilities.
Today a fantastic underground cellar is now in operation and provides the perfect maturation place for Morgenhof's wines.
Simonsberg WO Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 by Morgenhof Estate Lots of chocolate and coffee on the nose with sticky black fruit and graphite complexity. The palate is rich and powerful with dominant blackberry fruit that reaches a balanced finish alongside notes of earth. (November 2017)
