Beira Atlântico VR is a regional wine designation in central Portugal that covers the coastal and inland areas around Bairrada, extending across a broader Atlantic influenced zone. It allows greater freedom in grape variety choice and winemaking style than Bairrada DOC, and is commonly used by producers working with international varieties or making wines that fall outside the DOC regulations.
