Sub-region
Cerveteri DOC is a tiny appellation in Lazio where wine wine is produced form Trebbiano Toscano, known here as Procanico and red wines from Sangiovese and Montepulciano.
Cerveteri DOC Bianco must be produced with a minimum of 50% Trebbiano Tosscano, known locally as Procanico. The rest can be made up of other white grapes, of which, the most frequently used is Malvasia, which could constitute up to 35%.
The two key red grapes grown in the DOC are Merlot, and the more local Cesanese.
Cerveteri is not a DOC being used.
