Location
Château de La Liquière is located in the village of Faugères in the Hérault department of southern France. The vineyards lie within the Faugères AOC, part of the wider Languedoc region. The appellation is defined by its schist bedrock, which dominates the hills surrounding the village. The estate’s parcels are spread across elevated slopes and terraces around Faugères and neighbouring communes permitted within the appellation. Altitudes and exposures vary, allowing the family to work with different ripening profiles. The Mediterranean climate is moderated by altitude and by cooling winds, helping preserve freshness in what can otherwise be a warm southern context.
