Volnay is home to 29 officially recognised Premier Cru climats, each offering a distinct expression of the appellation’s refined Pinot Noir. Ranging from the structured, age-worthy wines of Clos des Chênes to the lifted, aromatic finesse of Caillerets, these sites reflect the nuanced interplay of soil, elevation, and exposure that defines Volnay’s identity. Together, they form one of the most intricate and site-driven collections of Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte de Beaune.
