Castagni is a small and little-known MGA in the commune of Novello, set on gently sloping terrain with marl-limestone soils and relatively cool exposures. The site produces delicate, understated wines with light structure, fresh acidity, and subtle red fruit and floral notes. Rarely bottled on its own, Castagni contributes finesse and aromatic nuance to blends, reflecting Novello’s more restrained style within the Barolo zone.
