Coste di Vergne is an MGA located in the western part of the Barolo commune, near the hamlet of Vergne, on high-altitude slopes with marl-limestone soils and cooler exposures. The site produces Barolo with lifted aromatics, bright acidity, and fine tannins, often showing red fruit, floral notes, and a restrained, elegant structure. Coste di Vergne tends to yield wines that are more delicate and slow to evolve, offering a fresher, more refined expression within the Barolo zone.
