Ginestra is one of the most celebrated MGAs in the commune of Monforte d’Alba, situated on steep, south to southeast-facing slopes with compact clay-limestone soils and elevations ranging from mid to high. The site produces powerful, ageworthy wines with deep color, dark fruit, firm tannins, and a marked mineral backbone, often complemented by floral and spice nuances. Ginestra is home to some of Monforte’s most iconic Barolo, and it consistently delivers complexity, structure, and longevity, hallmarks of the commune’s finest crus.
