Marenca is a highly regarded MGA in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba, located on steep, south-facing slopes with compact clay-limestone soils. The site produces bold, deeply structured wines with dark fruit, firm tannins, and pronounced mineral tension—hallmarks of Serralunga’s most powerful crus. Often requiring time to reveal its full complexity, Marenca is known for its ageworthy, concentrated Barolo that stands among the more intense and long-lived expressions of the appellation.
