The site yields structured, full-bodied wines with firm tannins, dark fruit, and earthy, mineral undertones, reflecting the robust style typical of Monforte. While quality can vary due to the cru’s large size and variability, Perno has gained increasing attention for its potential to produce powerful, ageworthy Barolo with both depth and character.
