Silio is a small and rarely seen MGA in the commune of Novello, set on gently sloping hills with marl-limestone soils and modest elevation. The site tends to yield light, delicate wines with fresh red fruit, floral tones, and soft tannins. Seldom bottled as a single-vineyard wine, Silio is more often used in blends to add finesse and aromatic lift, in line with Novello’s restrained style.
